Serving Orange County for nearly a decade, Floor Planet has built a reputation for selection and service that is "out of this world" according to owner Mike Moval. Floor Planet opened its first shop in Lake Forest in 1995.

"Great selection and excellent service is our Number 1 rule" Moval said. "We are a family-owned operation and specialize in interior design and installation."

Moval is a contractor, installer and good-humored business owner who doesn't mind "shaking things u a bit." Along with his family, he owns and operates the two stores in Lake Forest and Santa Ana.

The specialty wood selections at Floor Planet are an eye-opener to first time customers. But choice is just the beginning of the surprises.

Floor Planet is a retail home-improvement center that features many unusual and hard-to-find woods, tiles, marble and granite. Floor Planet offers an interior designer to work closely with each homeowner to make sure each selection complements the customer's tastes.

"It keeps our clients interested in improving the overall appearance of their homes and gives our customers many new ideas" Moval said. Since Floor Planet imports most of its inventory, the middleman is largely eliminated, with the savings passed along to the customer. Affordable prices are among the many reasons Floor Planet has been able to successfully operate in the home-improvement industry for nearly a decade.
